Cinderella mid-transformation

So I finally have access to digital equipment again! My move is nearly finalized! Those following my Facebook page know I have been on hiatus temporarily during my complicated and lengthy move to the UK.

To celebrate here is a vector Cinderella mid-transformation. Went for a paper doll kind of style.

Final version with complete background soon to come!

Done in Illustrator using vector points.

Snowy Sunset - concept drawings

Pretty much self-explanatory. This is the development work I did for my "Snowy Sunset" concept illustration. I designed the characters before drawing them and thought about what sort of clothing they would have.

Note: Names of the characters have been removed.

Snowy Sunset

I made this piece for a client as a sample for a book deal. I have finally been able to gain permission to add it to my blog and portfolio. NDAs and all that. So in this scene we have a princess and her friend out on a stroll with a pony. The original version was a bit more naturally coloured but after some art direction I made several colour changes and small edits. So the final version is quite bright and child-friendly. Its interesting to learn the differences between what adults like to see and what colours children like. Here is the first version of the piece below;

Queen Elsa fanart - Background version

My Queen Elsa fanart but I added in her (ultra complex) ice palace in the background. I don't make nearly enough backgrounds so I really should get into the habit of incorporating them more into my work.
